Healing Touch
: Healing touch (HT) is a combination of hands-on and off-body techniques that influence the flow of energy through a person's biofield. Data from small preliminary studies are insufficient to support any recommendations for or against the use of HT in HIV/AIDS patients. This therapy was not studied specifically in pregnant women with HIV. Studies of better design are needed before any conclusions can be reached.HT should not be regarded as a substitute for established medical treatments.
