Vitamin E and Menopause Overview

Vitamin E: Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin with antioxidant properties. There is preliminary evidence of possible benefits of vitamin E supplementation to reduce chronic menstrual pain, although additional research is necessary in this area before a firm conclusion can be reached. Vitamin E supplements may increase the risk of bleeding in sensitive individuals, such as those taking medications to reduce blood clotting, including aspirin and warfarin (Coumadin ®).Natural Standard Monograph, Copyright © 2008 (www.naturalstandard.com).
