Nasal irrigation: There is good evidence from randomized controlled trials, case series and equivalence trials to recommend the use of nasal irrigation in the treatment of chronic sinusitis. Nasal irrigation is generally well tolerated with few and transient adverse effects (like nasal irritation, discomfort, otalgia or pooling of saline in the paranasal sinuses) reported from clinical trials. Avoid if pregnant or breastfeeding.Natural Standard Monograph, Copyright © 2008 (www.naturalstandard.com).
