David Lenkovitzki Well, I'll have to stay anecdotal.

I was approached by a young woman that has a heart transplant surgery. She has very poor peripheral circulation, so much so that her fingertips started going black.

I was scared, asked for a sign off from her MD, and hesitated even then.

After several weeks of mild basic training and form-work, her condition improved, she only lost one fingertip.

YMMV, but, this is indicative of the kind of effect that Tai Chi Chuan, done right, can have on the circulatory system.

David Lenkovitzki I have started Tai Chi Chuan practice in earnest after my second crash and burn, I was debilitated, suffered from chronic back pain and stiff neck and shoulders.

Now, 30 years later, I'm in great shape, I run a business, I practice for over 3 hours daily and teach evenings.

Tai Chi Chuan teaches correct posture, body use, breath, relaxation in reaction to stress; however, this is not a panacea, I worked harder than at any other endeavor in my life to make it work.

Twice in a week one-hour classes of Tai Chi interventions promote independent physical activity, improve balance, and significantly reduce falls among older adults living in a community, according to a CDC funded study.
