Local honey dispels allergies created by local allergens. If I feel an allergic reaction coming on I can take 1 teaspoon of honey and the reaction will stop. I make "honey toast" every few days and keep my immune system up, and now I have very few reactions. And those are triggered if I am stirring up allergens raking old leaves and such.
