My almost 3 year old daughter suffers from Spastic Hemiplegia (one sided) Cerebral Palsy. She was having extreme difficulty & pain in walking & at the time we started the ciropratic care she preferred to only lay on the floor in pain. Her left leg was also drawn up two centimeters from the tight muscle tone. Her orthopedic doctor wanted to do hip surgery, AFO leg braces, & a built up shoe. He also said that she was developing scoliosis & may need a back brace later. We took her to a chiropractor for a second opinion. This has proven to be a life saver & God send for her! Her legs are now the same length, she no longer is in need of hip surgery, she is only wearing orthotics in her shoes for flat feet, but no AFO braces & she no longer has signs of scoliosis. We saw improvements immediatly that only continued to increase with treatment. She has been going for a year now & I hate to even think about how she would be right now if it wasn't for the chiroprators. She enjoys going too.
I wish that anyone suffering from Cerebral Palsy would give it a try. I think that you will be very happy that you did. I want to add though, that just like any doctor, they all have their own personal way of doing things, so if you are not comfortable with one chiroprator, than by all means try a different one.
