A clinical study published in the journal Pain indicates that acupuncture can effectively treat repetitive strain injury. Researchers from University of Heidelberg, Germany, conducted a randomized single-blind clinical trial to assess the efficacy of acupuncture in treating chronic shoulder pain and to review if the improvement in the patient is due to psychological factors alone.  Read more

According to a study published in the British Medical Journal, acupressure was effective in reducing low back pain. Researchers from Institute of Preventive Medicine, National Taiwan University, Taiwan, conducted a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial on 129 adults with chronic low back pain.
