Sugary Soda May Damage Kidneys

The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey findings revealed that consumption of sugary soda may lead to kidney damage. However, diet soda or moderate intake of sweetened soda did not contribute to kidney disease. The study found an association between sweetened sodas and albuminuria. Albuminuria is a marker of early kidney damage.
