Causes for Male Infertility

Some causes for male infertility may include:

Retrograde ejaculation: This condition occurs when the bladder does not close during ejaculation because of impaired bladder muscles or nerves.

Klinefelter syndrome: This is a congenital condition in which there is an extra X-chromosome present leading to male infertility.

Hormonal disorder: Certain hormone deficiencies cause deficiencies in testosterone (the male sex hormone) that lead to infertility.

Acquired causes:

Radiation and chemotherapy
Certain infections such as meningitis and syphilis
Disruption or damage to testicles, hypothalamus, and pituitary glands
Malformation of the glands
