Causes for Female Infertility

Although causes for female infertility may vary, some common reasons may include: 

Abnormal or defective reproductive system: Abnormalities in, or damage to, the uterus, cervix, and fallopian tubes may cause infertility in women.

Infection and diseases: Certain conditions like endometriosis, thyroid disorder, and diabetes may lead to infertility.

Hormonal disorders: Hormonal disorders may cause changes or problems in ovulation leading to infertility.

Age: Fertility decreases in women who are thirty years of age or older.

Weight factors: Being overweight or obese or losing weight too fast may result in loss of fertility.

Medication and surgery: Certain medicines that treat mental problems or cancer and abdominal or pelvic surgeries can cause infertility in women.

Stress: Stress is also a major cause of infertility.
Alcohol and tobacco: Use of excessive alcohol and drugs, and smoking may lead to infertility.
