Tai Chi Improves Physical Function in Osteoarthritis Patients

Tai Chi is a mind-body approach that involves slow, rhythmic movements to induce mental relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance balance and flexibility. A new research from the Tufts University School of Medicine found that older adults with knee osteoarthritis who practiced Tai Chi on a regular basis experienced less pain and had improved physical function. The study appears in the journal Arthritis Care & Research.
