Obesity a High-Risk Factor for Severe H1N1 Swine Flu

Recent data from California suggest that H1N1 influenza isn't always severe, but 'when it's bad, it's really bad'. Earlier it was believed that this pandemic flu mostly affected younger people and those with immunity problems. But there is a growing body of unproven but plausible evidence that obesity with a BMI of 40 or more is a high risk factor for severe swine flu.
