Volume 14 Issue 4 of the Journal of Women’s Health reports on a double blind, placebo controlled clinical study on the role of nutritional supplements in the reproductive health of women. The Stanford University School of Medicine held the study on 92 women in the age group of 24-42 who had been unsuccessful in conceiving even after trying from 6-36 months. Of this group, 53 of the women were given nutritional supplements and 40 were treated with a placebo. Whereas 17 women in the first group reported pregnancy after the trial, only 4 women in the second group became pregnant.
