Three randomized, double blind and controlled trials performed at an Australian hospital for obstetric care involving 291 women revealed that ginger relieves nausea in early pregnancy. During this study, women at 8 to 16 weeks gestation period were given identical tablets and randomly selected to receive ginger and vitamins. The study concluded that ginger helped to reduce nausea in early pregnancy.
