An Ayurvedic practitioner is a CAM specialist who uses observation, touch, therapies, and advising to treat and restore a state of balance to all aspects of the human body in order to help prevent illness and promote wellness. Ayurveda is based on the philosophy that people, their health, and the universe are all related. It is believed that health problems can result when these relationships are out of balance.
