The British Journal of Sports Medicine reports that the traditional Chinese martial art, Tai Chi, improves the immune system and reduces blood sugar levels as two separate studies in Australia and Taiwan have indicated. Thirty diabetic and thirty healthy people participated in three hour long sessions of Tai Chi per week and over 12 weeks. Over this time, the diabetics exhibited both a drop in blood sugar levels and an improvement in immunity.
