Breathing Exercises and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Results of a controlled, randomized trial performed at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital established that computer controlled breath training may improve exercise ability in COPD patients.

In this study, 64 patients were randomized to ventilation feedback and 49 of them completed the exercise training.

I have been doing breathing exercises for several months now and it does help...though you have to keep it up. Research pranayama online to see what breathing exercises you can do.
