Omega-3 Fatty Acids Reduce COPD Risk

According to a study published in the Journal of the American College of Chest Physicians, CHEST, COPD patients who received fatty acid supplements showed improved exercise capability in an eight week long trial in comparison to those who did not receive supplements.

Fish oil, canola oil, and walnuts which have omega-3 fatty acids have an anti-inflammatory effect and improve an individual's ability to exercise, revealed this study done in Japan on 64 COPD patients.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids have also been shown to be beneficial for people with high cholesterol, heart disease, and dementia among other conditions.
