Q	What's the typical cost for a session with a Naturopath?
I would like to consult a naturopath on some dietary supplements that I am taking, how much would the cost be?

An initial consultation with a Naturopath costs anywhere from $75 to $175. Follow-up consultations begin at $55 to $75 per visit.

The teaching clinic where I work charges $90 for the initial visit with $60 follow ups. Patients see student clinicians who are overseen by attending and resident physicians. Depending on where you live you can spend as much as several hundreds of dollars for initial consultations with naturopathic doctors! In some of the states where naturopathic medicine is licensed, you may even be able to get insurance to cover the visit. In Portland, Oregon, there are also quite a few community clinics offering primary care and naturopathic medicine at a discount price ($20). Naturopathic student clinicians work in these clinics, supervised by attending naturopathic physicians. If you live near a naturopathic college, see if the same is available to you!

It really depends on where you live. I practice in Menlo Park, California and the average cost for an initial visit is $275 and $190 for follow up visits. And of course there are licensed naturopathic doctors (you need to do your homework to make sure your pracitiioner is qualified) and naturopaths. The education is very different and that is what you are paying for.
