You may want to consider seeing a chiropractor. For more serious conditions (i.e. slipped disks etc.), acupuncture may be the way to go. It can help with chronic, persistent pain of most types.

Physical therapy can also bring great relief to the tight muscles, joints, nerves that contribute to chronic back pain. They can also recommend posture/ergonomic changes, strenthening and/or stetching exercises for weak or tight musculature.

If your pain is muscular, you may find relief by doing alot of back and leg stretches, some heat to the area and monthly visits to a LMT (license massage therapist)to release the muscle tension.
