I have kids and a lot of their friends are allergic to peanuts or nuts in general. That's why the food packages these days indicate if nuts are processed in some plant. Not sure why this is a big deal today as it was not about 30 years ago. Would love to hear from experts if any environmental factors are contributing to this or just we have better (more granular) diagnosis.
From my personal experience, soy products are allergens as well as corn.
At one time I was moving towards vegetarianism and had to retreat due to this 'sensitivity' to soy.
We may not have allergic reactions to foods, however sensitivies can build to the point where the physical system can have an overload, creating other issues.
