Is acupuncture a useful treatment for osteoarthritis?

The National Institutes of Health and various governing health bodies have shown time and time again that acupuncture IS a very viable treatment for osteoarthritis. Patients require much less medication and are much less likely to require a joint replacement even in severe cases. Many acupuncture doctors like myself offer a free consultation where they will discuss a potential treatment plan and costs with you. Since there are no safe drugs for osteoarthritis and not much in the way of western treatment, I predict acupuncture will become the #1 treatment as our population ages. Best, Dr. Taryn DeCicco

It might possibly mask the symptoms without bringing into effect a cure. Look closely to your diet for a cure. You might attempt one of the low-carb diets for a time to see what relief it might bring.
