How do I get rid of calcium deposits?

Toward the end of the school year (6/08)(I am 49 and active) I began having numbness in my hand and forearm when working at close work (sewing). It continued for several weeks. I went to a chiropractor who said (according to x-rays) I had two small calcium deposits on my shoulder as well as some arthritis in my neck which was pinching nerves. He is treating it with electronic acupuncture and adjustments. But, I want to know if I can do something to dissolve or reduce the deposits.
